Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service govern all freight forwarding, logistics, and related services provided by Unicore Overseas SIA (Registration No. 40003781416), located at Puku iela 8, Riga, LV-1048, Latvia.

Our services are provided in accordance with the NSAB 2000 (General Conditions of the Nordic Association of Freight Forwarders), which sets forth comprehensive terms for freight forwarding services.

2. Scope of Services

Unicore Overseas SIA provides the following freight forwarding and logistics services:

• Air freight forwarding (IATA CASS certified)
• Sea freight (FCL and LCL shipments)
• Road freight and European groupage
• Rail freight services
• Dangerous goods handling (IATA DGR certified)
• Customs clearance and documentation
• Cargo insurance arrangement
• Warehousing and storage

3. NSAB 2000 Application

Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, all services provided by Unicore Overseas SIA are subject to NSAB 2000 conditions, which include:

3.1 Freight Forwarder Liability

The freight forwarder's liability is determined according to NSAB 2000 §§15-27, which define:

• Liability as carrier when performing transport with own means or when expressly accepting carrier liability
• Liability as intermediary when arranging transport through third parties
• Maximum compensation limits as defined in SDR (Special Drawing Rights)

3.2 Limitation of Liability

According to NSAB 2000 §17-19, compensation for loss, depreciation, or damage to goods is limited to SDR 8.33 per kg gross weight of the affected goods. For delay, compensation is limited to the agreed payment for the contract.

3.3 Notice of Claims

Claims must be submitted according to NSAB 2000 §29: immediately upon receipt for visible damage, within 7 days for hidden damage, and within 14 days for other matters.

4. Customer Obligations

According to NSAB 2000 §28, the customer is responsible for:

• Providing accurate and complete information about the goods
• Proper packaging, marking, and loading of goods
• Declaring any hazardous properties of goods
• Payment of applicable duties, taxes, and fees

5. Insurance

We strongly recommend that customers arrange comprehensive cargo insurance for all shipments. While we can assist with insurance arrangements, the freight forwarder's liability under NSAB 2000 is limited and may not cover the full value of goods.

6. Dangerous Goods

Unicore Overseas SIA is IATA DGR certified and authorized to handle dangerous goods. Customers must provide complete and accurate documentation for all dangerous goods shipments in compliance with applicable regulations (IATA DGR, IMDG Code, ADR).

7. Payment Terms

Payment terms are as specified in individual quotations and invoices. Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due within 14 days of invoice date. Late payments may incur interest charges according to applicable legislation.

8. Applicable Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by Latvian law. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Latvia, unless otherwise specified in NSAB 2000 for specific transport modes.
